Srinagar, April 01 (KNO) : Congress leader Kadfeen Choudary on Monday termed the coming elections in Jammu and Kashmir extremely crucial for the protection of Jammu and Kashmir’s unique identity and said that contrary to the farce claims of other political group, it is Congress which alone is capable of safeguarding state’s special position. While meeting several delegations here, Kadfeen as per a statement issued to KNO said that there are several political parties who in a bid to hoodwink the electorate are making fares claims about the Article 35-A. However, Kadfeen said, Article-35-A is a matter of life and death for the people of the state and that the Congress will remain in the forefront to foil any effort aimed to diluting the special status or cause any harm to Jammu and Kashmir’s unique identity. He said that it was Congress which whenever was in power ensured equitable growth of all the three regions of the state and didnt allow anyone to barter state’s resources or cause any wedge between people on the basis of creed, colour or religion. Kadfeen said very soon, Congress will emerge victorious across the country as well as in the state and safeguarding unique identity of Jammu and Kashmir will remain party’s top most priority. “Those making castles in air must know that it is Congress which will usher an era of peace and development. The party has history of being the most vocal for common masses and addressing their woes,” said Kadfeen.(KNO)
